Tomasello Winery was founded in 1933 by Frank Tomasello, a berry farmer with a special knack for growing grapes and a passion for wine. In February 1933, when Frank heard the federal government was repealing Prohibition, he did not waste any time. He jumped into his truck and drove through a snowstorm to Washington, DC to be one of the first in line for a license. Tomasello Winery was bonded that year, license number 68 for the entire country. Over 90 years later, his legacy lives on as the only 4th generation family owned winery in NJ.

The tasting outlet at Locust Hall features a wide variety of award winning wines from Tomasello’s large portfolio. The notable Ranier Red White and Rose, named after Frank’s wife’s maiden name, is still among their top selling wines. Tomasello Winery Outlet also carries the Palmaris Reserve wines, latin for prize-worthy, as many have won numerous awards. Finally, some of the other products include fruit wine and fruit moscatos, Artisan Hard Ciders, and Incredible Creams.
